Knowledge is central to our digital future, and being located on the campus of Teesside University puts the IDI in the nexus of the brightest digital researchers and students.

All IDI activities are dedicated to bringing about the active transformative power of knowledge, research, expertise and enterprise to deliver economic growth, support community transformation, and realise people’s personal creative goals.

Drawing upon the extensive digital expertise at Teesside University, and combining it with our entrepreneurs, industry links and global networks, the IDI works with idea-creators and leads them through the development process towards the commercialisation and dissemination of their idea – helping them to actualise intellectual, social and economic value for their concept.  All of this activity is supported by an engagement model focused on continuous research of internal and external trends and activities, to maximise our organisational effectiveness and improve our internal processes and procedures.  This research activity extends beyond national boundaries into knowledge sharing activities with like organisations across the globe.
